Fee: None

The Journal Education Environment and Health (REMAS) adopts a policy of not charging article processing charges (APC) for several reasons that are fundamental to our mission and values:
Accessibility and Inclusion: Our main objective is to ensure that scientific knowledge is accessible to everyone, regardless of the authors’ financial capacity. Not charging APC fees allows researchers from different backgrounds and institutions, especially those from developing countries or with limited resources, to publish their research without financial barriers.
Promotion of Equity: The exemption of APC fees promotes equity in access to scientific publication. This ensures that research quality remains the only criterion for publication, eliminating disadvantages for researchers with fewer financial resources.
Promotion of Diversity: By not charging fees, we encourage submissions of a wide variety of works from different areas and contexts. This enriches the diversity of the published content and provides an inclusive platform for the dissemination of knowledge in education, environment and health.
Support for Scientific Development: Eliminating APC fees facilitates the contribution of innovative and high-quality research regardless of the authors’ financial limitations. This contributes to national scientific and technological development.
Strengthening the Scientific Community: By removing financial barriers, we support collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers, strengthening the scientific community and promoting the advancement of knowledge in the fields of education, environment and health.

THE EVALUATION PROCESS MAY TAKE UP TO 6 MONTHS FOR REVIEWERS’ REPORTS TO BE ISSUED.

Including ORCID records in submission metadata is MANDATORY, as well as the ABSTRACT in PORTUGUESE and the REFERENCES. Otherwise, the submission MAY BE SUMMARILY ARCHIVED.

To authenticate ORCID in the Open Journal Systems (OJS), the author must link their ORCID account to the profile. Follow the steps below:

Step-by-Step to Authenticate ORCID in OJS:

Access the Journal OJS System:

Log in to the journal portal using your username and password.

In the user information section, locate the “ORCID iD” field.

Authenticate your ORCID Account:

You will be redirected to the ORCID website to log in or create an account.

Authorize Access:

Authorize OJS to access your ORCID account.

Authentication Confirmation:

After authorization, you will be redirected back to OJS and your ORCID will appear authenticated.

Save Changes:

Save your profile changes to ensure the ORCID link is permanent.

Additional Tips:

Verify Authenticity: Check your ORCID profile to confirm the publication is linked.

Keep ORCID Updated: Update your data whenever changes occur.

Benefits of ORCID Authentication in OJS:

Ensures all publications are correctly linked to your ORCID.

Facilitates indexing systems such as Crossref and Web of Science.

Strengthens author credibility and interoperability between academic platforms.

By following these steps, your ORCID will be correctly authenticated and linked to your publications in the journal’s OJS.

Standardization of affiliation is also important. Therefore, since 2023 we have adopted the Research Organization Registry (ROR).

The Research Organization Registry (ROR) is a global community-led registry of open persistent identifiers for research organizations. If your institution does not yet have this identifier, suggest registration at: https://ror.org/registry/.
